My original intent was to become a fashion illustrator. When I was twenty I moved out to California (couldn’t afford Paris!) and found that having to “create on demand” was not suited for me. I did find a minimum wage job dressing store windows, which was quite fun, but didn’t pay the bills.
My creative interests are vast and ever changing. I want to try everything I see; pastels, chalk, black & white pencil, watercolor, sculpture, x-stitch, pottery, jewelry, photography, the list goes on forever!. I even opened my own “eclectic” gift shop in Yuma and got my nail tech certification just so I could design artistic nails and Mehndi tattoos!!
One evening while being lured deeper and deeper into the “web”, I came across carved eggs. I said, “Now THAT I have to try. Gathering the proper equipment (air compressed dental drill) and supplies was quite costly, but the result is quite rewarding.
