Judy Mayberry began studying art seriously at the age of fourteen, she graduated from college with a fine arts degree with a concentration in drawing and fiber arts, went on to have a music career that took her and her husband around the US and then they returned to their roots in Norway, Maine where they have raised their family. Judy has been involved in creating many types of art but for the last ten years her concentration has been in mosaics. She has a studio at her home on Norway Lake where she creates works ranging from small trivets to large murals and fine art pieces to bathroom and kitchen backsplashes. Although she favors using vitreous glass she does work in more abstract mosaic methods incorporating such found things as sea glass, shells and old jewelry. Judy is a member of SAMA and WMAG.
